SEN Specialist Dance Sessions

The East Lab Dance team is working closely with St Andrews FE Campus, Chaddesdon, to provide accessible dance provision for their SEN students. Using creative dance as a tool, the young students learn choreographic techniques in an inclusive and comfortable environment, as they work towards a performance created with the students and the team. Matilda has a level 2 qualification in 'Understanding Autism'.

03

Early Years Dance and Yoga

East Lab Dance currently works with the preschool learning alliance, to provide dance, movement, and yoga provisions for their early-years children, aged 0-5 years. Matilda uses props for sensory play, storytelling to improve language and communication, and dance to develop children's physical skills. Similar sessions have been led for Dallimore Nursery, West Hallam Community PreSchool, and others. Matilda has a yoga teacher qualification with CCTA and is currently the early years lead at Derby Theatre.
